How to Measure

Please ensure you measure your dog(s) correctly as each item is made to the measurement you give us. 

 

Measuring for a collar

Measure all around the neck where you want the collar to sit.

 

Measuring for Adjusable, Comfort, Houdini and Workhorse Harnesses
1. Measure from the withers (shoulderblades) to the breastbone, one side only 
2. Measure from the breastbone to the chest, leaving some clearance behind the front legs. 
3. Measure around the chest, leaving some clearance behind the front legs. 


Measuring for a Neo Harness
1. Measure from shoulder to shoulder, take the tape measure to roughly 2" behind the armpits each side. 
2. Measure all around the chest about 2" behind the armpits. 

Measuring for a Houdini Ultra Harness

1. Measure from the withers (shoulderblades) to the breastbone, one side only 
2. Measure from the breastbone to the chest, leaving some clearance behind the front legs 
3. Measure around the chest, leaving some clearance behind the front legs 
4. Measure around the waist, a little in front of the penis for boys 
5. Measure from withers (shoulderblades) to the point on the back you measured around for number 4 



Measuring for an X-Gen Harness
1: Measure from withers to breastbone, one side only
2: Measure from breastbone, between legs to about 2" behind front legs
3: Measure all around chest about 2" behind front legs
4: Measure gap between front legs when standing

 

Measuring for a headcollar
Start high at the back of the head, behind the ears. Bring the tape measure down, under the chin, over the muzzle, cross back under the chin then bring it back up to meet the start of the tape measure.

 

Measuring for an X-back Harness

1. Withers to breasbone (one side only)

2. Withers to base of tail
3. From breastbone, between front legs then to base of tail.
